30 days of biking 2016 - day 1

As with previous years, I am taking part in 30 days of biking with my youngest son. Now 12 years old, he'll be looking to beat the 152 miles he rode last year.

For day 1 we rode to Pevensey Castle and back. We spooked a pheasant at the side of the road. Female pheasants are quite well camouflaged. We also saw a heron take to the air from the marshes. Very impressive.

In total we rode a little over 8 miles.
